Police Captain Sheila May Pansoy said P1 million came from Vice President Sara Duterte.

Governor Yvonne Cagas also pledged P500,000 for information that can lead to the arrest of the gunman and another P500,000 for the mastermind.

Investigators have already identified several persons of interest.

Police are still checking their number, names, and possible motives. Bucol was shot dead inside his home in Digos City while doing a Facebook Live on the night of November 25, 2025. Parts of the attack were caught on video.

Police said the victim was in his garage when he was attacked.

Possible persons of interest were named based on people Bucol had mentioned in his past social media posts.

Authorities are now following every lead as they continue the search for the suspects.

It can be recalled that Oscar “Dodong” Bucol Jr., the captain of Barangay Tres de Mayo in Digos City, was killed while he was live on Facebook on Tuesday night.

According to the Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office, the shooting happened around 9:00 p.m. on November 25, 2025, inside his home, specifically in the garage.

Parts of the incident were captured on camera during the livestream.

The Digos City Police Station immediately responded and launched a dragnet operation to find the suspects.

Authorities also plan to form a Special Investigation Task Group to focus on the case. Several possible persons of interest have been identified based on individuals mentioned by Bucol in his earlier social media posts.

Investigators and intelligence operatives are following all leads. CCTV footage from around the crime scene is also being collected to help the probe.

The Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office strongly condemned the brutal killing of Bucol and said they are doing everything to ensure justice is served.

Police also called on the community to cooperate and provide any information that may help speed up the resolution of the case.
