Both worked the night shift and were residents of the province. When authorities entered the office, they saw bullet wounds on the victims.
One guard was shot at least five times, while the other had around three gunshot wounds.
The CCTV camera system had been tampered with. The modem and memory card of the CCTV recording were missing. The service firearms of the guards were also gone and believed to have been taken by the suspects.
Police said the blood on the scene was already dry when BIR staff arrived, suggesting the men had been dead for several hours.
Investigators also found that gasoline had been poured on several office computers.
A steel cabinet was open, and many documents were scattered on the floor.
At the crime scene, police recovered three empty bullet shells, four fired bullets believed to be from a 9mm gun, and three shotgun shells.
Authorities are now working to identify the suspects and determine the reason behind the killings.
The investigation is ongoing, and statements from the families of the victims and BIR officials are still being sought.

In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.
In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
