A construction worker ranked as the No. 5 most wanted person in the Northern Police District (NPD) was arrested by Valenzuela City Police Station during an operation at the Karuhatan Public Cemetery.

The operation was conducted with the help of the Northern District Intelligence Team, the Regional Intelligence Unit–NCR, and the Philippine National Police Intelligence Group.

Authorities later confirmed that the suspect was also listed as the No. 7 most wanted person at the Valenzuela City Police Station level.

In a Facebook post on Monday, November 3, the Valenzuela City Police announced the arrest and said the man was wanted for violating Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.

The case was filed at the Regional Trial Court Branch 270 in Valenzuela City.

According to the report, the court issued a warrant of arrest against the suspect with a recommended bail of ₱720,000.

Police said the man underwent a medical examination before being placed under custody for proper documentation and legal procedures.

Authorities praised the teamwork between the intelligence units that led to the suspect’s capture.

They also reminded the public that efforts continue to track down other wanted persons in the Northern Police District to ensure public safety.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
