One person died in an unfortunate accident in Surallah, South Cotabato.
According to a report by GMA 7's Balitanghali through GMA Regional TV, the victim was installing a solar light post.
Two others were injured when the post accidentally came into contact with an electric cable in the area.
The Bureau of Fire Protection added that the victims were not wearing any protective gear or equipment.

There was also a power interruption in the area after the unfortunate incident.
Meanwhile, South Cotabato Electric Cooperative I said the installation of the post for a solar light wasn't a part of their project.
They're currently investigating the group where the victims work.
In the Philippines, when a group of men gets electrocuted by an electric cable owned by an electric cooperative and it results in a death, an investigation is immediately launched.
Local authorities, such as the police and the Bureau of Fire Protection, usually respond first to secure the area and assist the victims.
The electric cooperative involved is required to explain how the incident happened, especially if the cable was exposed or faulty.
The Department of Energy and other related agencies may also step in to check if the cooperative followed safety standards.
The families of the victims can file a complaint or demand compensation if negligence is proven on the part of the cooperative.
Meanwhile, the cooperative may face penalties, suspension, or legal action if it is found that the electrocution happened due to poor maintenance or safety violations.
