A man was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Catmon, Malabon.
According to a report by GMA 7’s Balitanghali, the suspect was a wanted person in Eastern Samar.
Authorities said he was accused of taking advantage of a minor girl.
Investigations revealed that the girl’s school was far from her home, and the suspect used that as an opportunity to fetch her often.

As time passed by, there were times when the victim was no longer going home.
It turned out, when they went to the victim's house, he was caught sharing the same bed with the minor victim.
The suspect managed to hide in Metro Manila for almost a year before being found by the tracker team of the CIDG.
According to the arresting authorities, the warrant will be returned to where the crime was committed.
Authorities also added that abuse like this happens because of too much trust.
They also encourage victims to have an open communication with their parents once it happens. Additionally, they highly recommend parents to come forward and report such type of abuse to the authorities.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
