Mr. Go’s presence at the funeral home was a moment marked by profound, silent grief. He respectfully declined to issue a statement to the waiting media, emphasizing his need for privacy as he grapples with the devastating loss of his daughter.

Despite seeking privacy from the press, Mr. Go has committed to fully cooperating with the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).

Police Captain Francis Depasucat, the station commander of Bacolod Police Station 1, confirmed that investigators had previously reached out to the father, who assured them he would meet with the police soon.

Captain Depasucat stressed the critical importance of the father’s statement, noting that he may hold essential information that could provide a breakthrough in solving the case.

The investigators are meticulously piecing together the events leading up to Freya’s death, and the perspectives of her immediate family are indispensable.

The police had already spoken with Freya’s mother, who consented to an autopsy examination to determine the precise cause and manner of death.

However, authorities are currently awaiting the availability of the forensic doctor to proceed with the examination.

Meanwhile, Police Station 1 is aggressively expanding its evidence-gathering efforts. Investigators are actively collecting CCTV footage and have significantly increased the geographical scope of their back-tracking operation.

They are appealing to all property owners in and around the Reclamation Area to cooperate and provide any relevant video data to help bring the perpetrator to justice.

Initial observations of the victim's body revealed severe trauma. Freya sustained multiple bruises on her body and wounds on her face, consistent with a violent encounter.

Authorities noted, however, that there were no visible stab wounds or bullet injuries.

A particularly disturbing detail noted by the investigators was the complex binding method used on the victim.

The rope securing her hands was reportedly connected to the material around her neck, creating a ligature that would tighten whenever she struggled to free her hands. This cruel mechanism suggests a calculated and deliberate act of violence.

As the police gather evidence, including awaiting the crucial forensic report, the commitment from Freya’s father to engage with the authorities offers a sliver of hope that the necessary information will surface.

It can be recalled that the lifeless body of the 17-year-old girl was found behind the Pope John Paul II Tower at the Bacolod Reclamation Area. She was reportedly found without her lower garments. The victim's "boy best friend" received strange messages from her account before her death, including an unusual request for money and a misspelling of their call sign. The police are investigating the final, suspicious communications to determine if the account was already being used by a perpetrator.
