An SUV driver was caught on video assaulting an elderly bus driver following a road altercation in Silang, Cavite — a disturbing incident that quickly went viral and drew public outrage online.

According to a report from the Silang Municipal Police Station, the confrontation erupted after a collision between the SUV and the passenger bus.
In the footage, the SUV driver can be seen repeatedly hitting the older man, who appeared defenseless as bystanders attempted to intervene.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has since suspended the SUV driver’s license for 90 days and summoned him to explain his actions.

Authorities are now determining whether to file charges of reckless driving and consider the possible revocation of his license.
The LTO emphasized that road rage incidents will not be tolerated, especially those endangering public safety. “We remind motorists that discipline and respect must always prevail on the road,” an official said.
This latest case adds to a string of recent road-related incidents in the country.
Just last week, a UV Express driver in Quezon City rammed several motorcycles and a car along Commonwealth Avenue, leaving one person dead and several injured. Earlier this month, a viral dashcam video also showed a motorist attacking a cyclist in Pasig City over a traffic dispute.
Authorities continue to urge drivers to remain calm and follow traffic rules to prevent further acts of violence on the road.
