“When we woke up in the morning, everyone was looking for their phones. We thought someone was just hiding them. When we reviewed the footage, we saw that someone had entered,” one of the victims said.

They added that the suspect had been seen wandering around the area several times before the break-in.

The victims expressed frustration, saying the phones were vital for work and contained important data.

“The phone has all our contacts and my child’s medical record. I just wish he’d find honest work instead,” the victim added.

Barangay officials confirmed the suspect is a local resident with multiple prior theft complaints.

However, he had not been charged previously because victims agreed to settle.

Authorities are now coordinating with his relatives to locate him.
