According to PRO 11 Director PBGen Joseph Arguelles, the joint operation was carried out by the Regional Intelligence Division 11 along Roxas Avenue on Monday.
The suspects were apprehended after reportedly negotiating the sale of illegal firearms to undercover operatives.
Arguelles said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to crack down on the proliferation of unlicensed weapons in the region. “We remain firm in our campaign against illegal firearms. No one is exempted, even members of the police organization,” he stressed.

Recovered from the suspects were several high-powered firearms, including rifles and ammunition, which are now under police custody for further examination.
Authorities are also verifying whether the seized firearms were involved in any criminal activities.
The arrested police officer is currently under the custody of PRO 11’s Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit, while the security manager faces separate administrative and criminal charges.
Investigators are now tracing the source of the weapons and possible connections to larger gun-running operations in Mindanao.
PBGen Arguelles emphasized that the Philippine National Police remains committed to maintaining integrity within its ranks.
“This operation serves as a warning that any law enforcer involved in illegal acts will face the full extent of the law,” he said.
