Dennis Trillo earned the prestigious Best Actor award for his role in "Green Bones" at the 48th Gawad Urian Awards, held on Saturday at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium in De La Salle University.

Trillo triumphed over fellow nominees Carlo Aquino ("Crosspoint"), Baron Geisler ("Dearly Beloved"), Ruru Madrid ("Green Bones"), Sid Lucero ("Outside"), Ronnie Lazaro ("Phantosmia"), and Enzo Osorio ("The Hearing").
In his acceptance speech, the Kapuso star expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked on "Green Bones", crediting the collective effort behind the film’s success.
“Gusto ko pong ialay itong award na ito sa mga kasamahan kong bumuo no'ng pelikula... sa pamumuno ng aming batikang direktor na si Zig Madamba Dulay. Inaalay ko po itong award na ito sa kaniya,” he said.

Dennis also acknowledged his co-stars Ruru Madrid and Enzo Osorio, as well as the hardworking crew members behind the camera.
“Hindi mabubuo ang pelikula kundi sa tulong-tulong at pagsisikap ninyong lahat,” he added.
The actor extended thanks to GMA Pictures executives Annette Gozon and Nessa Valdellon, along with the writers JC Rubio, Anj Atienza, and Ricky Lee. He also credited his management, Aguila Entertainment, and his family for their unwavering support.
“To my loving and ever-supportive family led by Ms. Jennylyn Mercado, my number one supporter, thank you,” he said. Trillo concluded by dedicating his win to Filipino moviegoers, saying, “Inaalay ko itong award na ito sa lahat ng mga lumalabas para gumastos, manood ng sine… Maraming salamat po.”
Dennis Trillo is a Kapuso actor, recording artist, and model. He is known for playing the role of Eric del Mundo in "My Husband’s Lover." He also played the role of Crisostomo Ibarra and Simoun in the multi-awarded series "Maria Clara at Ibarra." He likewise starred in several movies such as "Mano Po III: My Love," "Mulawin: The Movie," "Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love," "You're Still the One," and many more. His awards include Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.
Recently, Dennis shared a video where he looked visibly amused when some people lining up to watch a movie seemingly failed to recognize him. In a video that the actor shared online, one can see him and his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, both of them wearing masks with the actor also wearing a cap, go to a mall to see a movie. According to Dennis, they’re there to watch their MMFF co-entry, “The Kingdom.” They then checked out the line forming towards Dennis’ own movie, “Green Bones” and even when he took off his mask, people seemed oblivious to his presence.
Meanwhile, the actor also recently shared a parody about the viral TikTok question "May ABS pa ba" that was posted in one of his socmed accounts. Dennis said his TikTok account has been hacked at the time and reiterated that he would never say deregatory words against ABS-CBN.
