It assured the public that these issues are being taken seriously. The NIA top management has already started a full review and verification process together with other offices and authorities.
NIA emphasized that this is not the first time such complaints have been raised and that transparency and accountability remain its main priorities.
The agency added that it does not tolerate any form of irregularity in its programs and projects. It also urged the public to avoid speculation and allow law enforcement agencies to complete their investigation.
Reports said Antatico, a 40-year-old Juris Doctor graduate, was ambushed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Cagayan de Oro City while driving his Nissan sedan.
The back rider opened fire, causing his car to crash into a parked truck. He was rushed to J.R. Borja General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police have launched a follow-up investigation and a manhunt to find the suspects and the mastermind behind the killing.
