Ellis Co finally speaks about allegations on father, Zaldy Co: "'Come home and answer to the people"

Ellis Co, son of Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, has spoken publicly against his father amid corruption allegations tied to flood-control projects.

In a statement on Instagram, Ellis expressed support for those protesting corruption and said he wanted to be transparent about his own life.

He shared that he left his parents’ home as a teenager and has supported himself since then, focusing on his fashion label DOT ARCHIVES and choosing not to take part in politics or government opportunities.

Ellis condemned corruption in all forms, saying he understands the anger of the people and admitted that he has struggled with an internal conflict between his morals and his family.

He revealed that his relationship with his father grew distant when Zaldy entered politics, and he now feels ashamed but firm in wanting the truth to come out.

Ellis added that anyone proven guilty, including his father, should face consequences.

He urged Zaldy to face the people and be accountable, even saying that if his decision to speak out leads to being disowned, he is ready to accept it rather than stay silent while others suffer.
