This incident is not an isolated case. Authorities have previously warned the public about criminals posing as police officers or government officials to facilitate kidnappings, extortion, and other illegal activities.

The use of fake uniforms or identification to simulate public authority is a serious crime that undermines public trust in law enforcement and places citizens at great risk.
