“Napadayo lang siya roon, nagpaalam pa roon sa pinsan na bantay ng tindahan na makikiupo lang… Bigla na lang pong sinaksak eh,” said barangay tanod Jose Sogie Mabini.
Another tanod, Wilfredo Tablan, said they caught up with the suspect still holding the knife.
“Pagdating namin doon, may hawak na kutsilyo pa 'yung babae. Doon na namin siya na-trap,” he recalled. Authorities confiscated a 12-inch knife used in the attack.
The victim was rushed to a hospital after sustaining a stab wound to the left chest.
“Medyo dumudugo na at sabi niya masakit 'yung dibdib niya,” Mabini added.
The 30-year-old suspect denied the accusation, claiming she did not carry the weapon.
However, barangay officials revealed she had been previously involved in at least three stabbing incidents in Antipolo, including one that resulted in a man’s death.
She also reportedly has a history of mental health issues.
The suspect is now detained at the Antipolo Police custodial facility and faces a charge of frustrated h0micide.
