A motorcycle rider and his backrider were killed after an accident with a trailer truck in Cebu City.
Authorities said the crash happened along the South Coastal Road.
Based on the investigation, the truck was on the inner lane while the motorcycle was in the middle lane.
The motorcycle reportedly shifted lanes to overtake but hit the side of the truck. The impact threw both victims off the motorcycle, and they were run over by the truck.

Police said the truck driver is now in custody. Investigators are still trying to get his statement about the incident.
In another case in Iloilo City, a 72-year-old woman died after being run over by a truck in Barangay Baldoza.
The victim was crossing the street when the accident happened.
According to her relative, she was on her way to buy medicine when she was hit. She was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The driver of the truck, who is also under police custody, said he did not notice the woman crossing the road.
Authorities are conducting further investigation into both accidents.
Police reminded the public to stay alert on the road and for drivers to be extra careful to avoid tragic incidents like these.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
