A longtime church driver was shot dead outside Bacolod Cosmopolitan Christian Church in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as Efren Banaglorioso, a resident of Barangay Granada, who had been serving the church for more than 30 years.
According to witness Delbi Moises, who also works at the church, the incident occurred just as the morning service was about to end.
Moises recalled hearing four to six gunshots before rushing outside to check what had happened.

There, he found Banaglorioso lying on the ground, bleeding from a head wound.
“I heard the gunfire and when I looked outside, I saw someone had collapsed,” Moises recounted.
The victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head, which led to his immediate death before medical assistance could arrive.
Authorities have not yet identified the gunman or the motive behind the shooting.
Banaglorioso was known as a dedicated worker who had served the church community for decades.
Moises shared that the victim was well respected among parishioners and had quietly carried out his duties throughout his years of service.
The tragic incident has left the church community in shock, especially as Banaglorioso was a father of five.
Members of the congregation expressed grief and called for justice, remembering him as a loyal worker who spent much of his life serving both the church and its members.
Police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances behind the fatal attack and to track down the assailant.
