In a swift operation on Thursday, August 21, police in Kibawe, Bukidnon, arrested a 41-year-old man, who was also the sixth most wanted person on the regional level, for the alleged rape and sexual assault of his own daughter.

The suspect was apprehended on a warrant of arrest dated August 1, 2025.

According to Police Major Joan G. Navarro, chief of the Police Regional Office 10-Regional Public Information Office (PRO 10-RPIO), the man was taken by surprise on his farmland when arresting units arrived.

The arrest followed a harrowing period for the victim, who was allegedly raped in March and May of this year.

Initially silenced by threats from her father, she eventually found the courage to confide in her mother, leading to the filing of charges.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the Kibawe Municipal Police Station awaiting proper disposition.
