A couple was killed after a passenger bus rammed into their roadside eatery in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, in the early hours of Wednesday, August 13.

According to a report from GMA Regional TV’s Balitanghali, the bus crashed into the eatery located along Barangay Santo Rosario, also hitting several nearby vehicles and small roadside stores.
The impact left the couple dead at the scene.
The bus driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities confirmed that none of the passengers onboard were injured during the incident.

Investigators are still determining what caused the crash, with initial accounts suggesting the bus may have lost control before hitting the establishment.
