A police officer has been arrested after being identified as the suspect in the killing of a 24-year-old woman whose body was found with a gunshot wound near a waiting shed in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Thursday, the victim’s lifeless body was discovered in the morning of July 21, 2025, at Sitio Pocdol, Barangay Bani.

Authorities confirmed that she sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Investigators revealed that the suspect was in a relationship with the victim. On the day of the incident, the two were seen traveling together to Pangasinan on a motorcycle, which was being driven by the police officer.

It remains unclear what transpired between them before the victim’s death.
