Thine Medalla, a female content creator who recently went viral for a controversial act inside a church, has denied spitting on holy water.
In an interview with NEWS5, she said she only placed a small envelope in the font, made a wish, and put it back.
She also shared that she is now afraid of possible imprisonment and has realized who her true friends are amid the controversy.
The backlash began after a video spread online showing her appearing to spit into the holy water font at St. John the Baptist Parish in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental.

The clip drew widespread anger, especially from members of the Catholic community.
Following the outrage, Thine released a public apology on her social media page, crying as she admitted she had crossed the line.
She said she was pressured to create content that would go viral but acknowledged that she disrespected a sacred space.
She expressed deep shame and apologized to all Catholics who were offended.
Reactions to her apology have been mixed. Some netizens urged others to forgive her, while others called her actions “blasphemous” and “disgusting,” with some demanding legal action.
Church officials confirmed that the holy water font has since been cleaned and re-blessed. They called for healing and forgiveness while emphasizing the power of repentance.
