The incident occurred after the recent onslaught of the southwest monsoon and typhoons that hit the country last week.

Reports said that the senior high school faculty room had been burglarized, and several gadgets were stolen.

Authorities identified two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, as the alleged masterminds behind the crime.

According to police, the suspects managed to steal more than thirty laptops issued by the Department of Education (DepEd), with an estimated value of nearly 1.2 million pesos.

A follow-up operation led to the swift arrest of the two minors, along with three other adult male accomplices who allegedly acted as agents responsible for disposing of the stolen laptops. These devices were sold for merely 1,000 to 2,000 pesos each.

However, only seven laptops were recovered by law enforcement during the operation.

Authorities are now investigating the possibility of an inside job, noting that the suspects appeared to know exactly which room to target.

The three adult suspects admitted to the crime but insisted that the two minors were the masterminds behind the burglary.

Robbery charges will be filed against the arrested individuals, while the two minors will be placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
