The victim’s truck moved forward and crashed into a gas station wall.
He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
According to the police, the victim used to play music at various clubs and bars.
He was a freelance DJ and had just returned from Malaysia.
Police also said they found a sachet with a powdery substance in his hand and more sachets in his bag, suspected to be illegal dr*gs.
Police Colonel Sandro Tafalla, chief of Las Piñas Police, said they suspect the killing is drug-related.
He added that the gunmen may have followed the DJ from his home before ambushing him.
Spent bullet shells found at the scene appeared to be from a .45 caliber gun, but forensic testing will confirm it.
The victim’s mother, who did not want to face the camera, said her son had only recently come home.
She is still confused and heartbroken, unsure why anyone would want to kill him.
