According to police reports aired on GMA Regional TV’s "Balitanghali," the confrontation stemmed from a dispute involving two gamecocks brought home by the elder sibling.

The victim reportedly arrived home carrying a defeated rooster and ordered his younger brother to roast it.

He also brought another rooster, which had won the fight but later died. Believing that both roosters were to be cooked, the younger brother began washing and preparing the second bird, sparking an argument.

This verbal exchange escalated into a physical fight, which their father tried to break up. However, as the brothers left the house, the younger sibling shot his elder brother along the road, resulting in his immediate death.

The father revealed that the suspect may have reached his breaking point, as the victim often assaulted him when drunk. Authorities said the younger brother now faces murder charges and has expressed deep remorse for his actions.

The incident adds to a string of violent altercations in local communities, shedding light on unresolved family issues and the dangers of unchecked domestic abuse.
