President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. announced that he will bring back the iconic “Love Bus,” and that the rides will be free, starting in Mindanao and Visayas.
“Magtatanong ako sa iba sa inyo... Naalala ba ninyo 'yung tinatawag ‘Love Bus’? Ito 'yung popular na pampublikong bus sa Metro Manila na sinimulan noong 1970s,” Marcos said during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA 2025) on Monday.
“Ngayon, hindi lang natin ibabalik ang Love Bus, ito ay gagawin pa nating libre. Pauna pa lamang, pilot testing pa lamang 'yung sa Davao at sa Cebu. Susundan pa ito sa iba pang lugar sa Visayas at Mindanao,” he added.
The Love Bus operated in Metro Manila during the 1970s, known for being one of the few air-conditioned buses at that time.
