According to Angie, the victim’s aunt, the dog had a history of aggression.
The dog's owner shouldered the medical expenses but declined to give a statement regarding the incident. The dog has since been secured once again.
Animal welfare experts reminded pet owners to ensure their pets are well-fed, properly sheltered, and restrained to prevent posing a danger to the public.
They also emphasized the importance of vaccinations, especially against rabies.
