Emil Sumangil thanks public for concern: “Ako po ay buhay na buhay”

Emil Sumangil, in a video posted by GMA Public Affairs on their platforms, warmly addressed the public following his absence from television.

The '24 Oras' news anchor expressed gratitude for the concern and messages checking in on him during his absence from certain programs.

“Mga Kapuso, magandang araw po sa inyong lahat. Unang-una, taos sa puso, ako po ay nagpapasalamat kasama na ho ng aking mga kasama dito sa GMA Public Affairs, sa ‘Resibo’ at syempre sa GMA Integrated News dahil ho sa pagpapadala ninyo ng mensahe sa inyong lingkod, kinakamusta ako kung ah nasaan daw ho ba ako at nawala ako sa ilang programa.”

Sumangil went on to explain his absence and debunked some rumors circulating on social media.

“Ako'y nagbakasyon lamang at ah kabaliktaran sa mga ilang mga naglabasan sa social media. Ako po ay buhay na buhay,” he said, assuring everyone that he is safe, countering rumors suggesting otherwise.

“Pero ang mensahe na ito ay para sa inyo. Nais ko pong magpasalamat dahil yung pag-aalala ninyo ay talaga naman hong nakakataba ng puso. Nasa ligtas po akong kalagayan sa awa at sa kalooban ng mahal na Diyos sa Ama,” Sumangil sincerely aired.

He then expressed his commitment to fulfill his duties for the people, in accordance with divine intent.

“Gagawin ko po ang nararapat para ho sa ating mga kababayan. Alinsunod ho sa utos ulit ng mahal na Diyos.”

“Thank you again. Have a good weekend and have a great week ahead,” he uttered, ending his statement with positive wishes.
