An L300 van carrying a corpse suddenly caught fire while travelling on a main road of Amlan, Negros Oriental.

CCTV footage showed smoke coming out of the van, prompting those inside to get out immediately.

Just moments later, the vehicle burst into flames and was completely engulfed.

The van was supposed to transport a corpse, but thankfully, the body was safely removed before the fire started.

According to the report in GMA 7's '24 Oras Weekend' by Ivan Mayrina and Pia Arcangel, no one was injured in the incident. Authorities are now investigating what caused the fire that destroyed the vehicle.

The other people inside the van, including the relatives of the corpse, were all safe from the incident.

According to the investigation, the vehicle's battery caused the fire. In the same report, the driver reportedly noticed that the driver's seat was getting warmer, which prompted them to check the vehicle.

The concerned authorities are still conducting investigations about the fire incident are still ongoing.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
