The suspect wanted to talk to the victim, but she refused because she was busy cooking.

That's when the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim.

"Di na po kasi sila nagbigay ng any further reason o statement regarding po [sa] kung ano po 'yung pinagmulan ng away, bale nagkasagutan po and nauwi po saksakan na nangyari ma'am," said PLT SALLY MAR BRETANA, PIO, KALIBO MPS.

Thankfully, the victim survived after being stabbed multiple times. Both she and her mother are now trying to recover from their wounds.

Meanwhile, despite what happened, the victims decided not to file charges against the suspect.

"Immediately kahapon po ng hapon nairelease na po sa custody ng Kalibo PNP 'yung suspek natin kasi nag- execute po ng affidavit of non- interest 'yung both victims po na hindi na po sila magfa-file ng kaso," said PLT Bretana.
