Duterte Family puts up their Davao City home up for sale

• Former President Rodrigo Duterte’s house in Davao City is now up for sale, as confirmed by Honeylet Avanceña and daughter Veronica

• Security concerns led lawyers to request CCTV installation, including in the bedroom, which made Avanceña uncomfortable

The Davao City residence of former President Rodrigo Duterte is now up for sale, according to his common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, and their daughter, Veronica.

The news was shared on Saturday night, June 28.

In an interview with DZRH, Avanceña revealed that the house has been vacant for a while, and no member of the Duterte family currently resides there.

She admitted that visiting the home brings her emotional pain.

“Masakit sa dibdib ko every time I go inside. Ako na lang ang pumapasok diyan. May apat na katulong pero walang amo. We abandoned it after what happened,” she said in a text message to DZRH.

The property has remained unused since former President Duterte’s detention in The Hague by the International Criminal Court, where he is facing allegations of crimes against humanity.

Avanceña also expressed discomfort over the installation of surveillance cameras, following advice from their lawyers.

“I cannot sleep there anymore because the lawyers asked us to install CCTV — even inside the bedroom,” she shared.

Veronica also made a brief announcement via Facebook.

“For sale Duterte family house,” followed by a house emoji and three crying emojis.

So far, no asking price or prospective buyers have been disclosed. Meanwhile, other members of the Duterte family—Representative Paolo, Mayor Sebastian, and Vice President Sara—have yet to release any official statements on the matter.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines. He left Malacañang on June 30. The newly inaugurated President of the Philippines is Bongbong Marcos who got 31 million votes in the May 2022 elections. The new Vice President of the Philippines is VP Sara Duterte, the daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

Zimmerman flew to The Netherlands to show support for former President Rodrigo Duterte. The elder Duterte is currently held at the International Criminal Court’s detention center located within a Dutch prison complex in Scheveningen. The vice president and her mom’s photos strolling the streets of The Hague then made the rounds on social media.

On Instagram Stories, the youngest child of the former president shared a photo of FPRRD’s precious moment with his family. It was captured hours before the ex-leader was arrested last Tuesday. He was apprehended pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court for alleged crimes against humanity.
