Two fishermen caught a giant 'Lapu-Lapu' fish that was estimated to weigh around 141 kilograms.

According to reports, they managed to sell the massive catch for 12,000 pesos.

In a report by GMA 7's 'Balitanghali' through GMA Regional TV, the enormous fish was caught at the Babuyan channel, located between Santa Ana and Camiguin Island in Cagayan.

Experts mentioned that the Lapu-Lapu fish could reach a weight of up to 200 kilograms.

The Lapu-Lapu fish, also known as the grouper, is a popular and highly valued type of fish in the Philippines.

It is known for its firm, white flesh and mild flavor, making it a favorite ingredient in many Filipino dishes, especially in special occasions and in restaurants.

The Lapu-Lapu belongs to the Epinephelinae subfamily and can be found in both shallow coastal waters and deeper parts of the ocean.

It comes in various species and sizes, with some growing very large, even reaching up to 200 kilograms.

Because of its demand and price in the market, it is also considered a prized catch among local fishermen.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
