A 29-year-old man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his live-in partner during a heated argument over an online game in Naga, Cebu.

The incident took place on June 23 in Purok Ilaya, Barangay Tuyan, according to a report by Brigada News Philippines.
The suspect, identified as Satur, allegedly attacked his 24-year-old partner, Mae, after a disagreement involving the game "Scatter."
Mae claimed that Satur borrowed her cellphone and she later suspected he used her e-wallet funds to play the game, which sparked the altercation.

In her interview with Brigada News, Mae expressed concern over her partner’s behavior. She said his involvement in the game appeared excessive.
He seems addicted to Scatter, explaining that this addiction had created tension between them.
Despite the assault, Mae disclosed that she does not intend to pursue formal charges against Satur.
However, she plans to bring the matter to the barangay level to ensure accountability.
“I would like a formal agreement to be made at the barangay so he continues to support our two children,” Mae said, emphasizing her desire to secure her children's welfare even if she is no longer taking legal action.
Barangay officials are expected to mediate the drafting of the agreement.
Meanwhile, authorities reminded the public to seek peaceful resolutions and counseling when facing disputes, especially when children are involved.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
