The wife of a House of Representatives employee who was shot during their child’s birthday celebration has spoken out, recounting the terrifying incident that unfolded before her and her children’s eyes.

In an emotional statement, she described how the joyful celebration quickly turned into a nightmare.

According to her, there was a chilling moment when she locked eyes with the gunman.

She recounted how instinct took over after the shock wore off.

The traumatic experience has left the family shaken, as they try to process the violent attack that happened during what was meant to be a special day.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect behind the shooting.

The motive remains unclear, but the incident has sparked calls for tighter security measures, especially in residential communities.

According to the wife of the employee of the House of Representatives, the whole family were together when the suspects arrived and shot her husband.

"Magkakahawak kami ng kamay and then napatingin ako sa left side ko, may lalaking sumisilip doon sa glass, then maya-maya bigla siyang bumaba, tapos yun na, bigla niyag tinutok sa head ng husband ko. Nagkatitigan pa kami eh. Tinutukan niya lang ng baril yung asawa ko. Nakita po naming ng mga anak ko. Tapos pinasok ko yung mga anak ko. Na-shock pa ako nun, siguro mg five seconds.Tsaka ko nagsisisigaw, 'tulong,' 'tulong."

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
