No foul play found in death of missing DLSU-BGC law student, officials say

Authorities have ruled out foul play in the death of Anthony Granada, a 25-year-old law student from De La Salle University–Bonifacio Global City, who was found dead in Naic, Cavite, nearly two weeks after he went missing.

According to a report from Inquirer, Granada was last seen on June 8 boarding a Grab vehicle along C-5 Road. CCTV footage later showed him walking alone past 9 p.m. on Lopez Jaena Bridge in Naic, Cavite, police said.
On June 21, Naic police received a report about a body discovered in a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa.
The remains were later confirmed by family members to be Granada.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said Monday that initial findings showed no signs of external injuries or gunshot wounds.
Granada's personal belongings were also found intact at the scene.
“To put everyone at ease, we can conclusively say that this is not hazing, no signs of foul play, from the time he left Taguig until his body was found, he had no one with him until the last part of his journey,” Remulla stated.
The confirmation comes amid public concern and speculation surrounding Granada's disappearance and death.
The student’s sudden vanishing sparked fears of potential violence or fraternity-related activity.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of his death, though early assessments strongly suggest no criminal involvement.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
