His body was found in an advanced state of decomposition.

The tragic discovery was made on a vacant property owned by MJRL Realty. Near Granada’s remains, investigators found a plastic bottle labeled “Drain Clog Free,” a chemical product typically used to dissolve grease or oil and clear clogged pipes.

This item has become a key piece of evidence as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

Significantly, Granada's personal belongings, including his cellular phone and other items, were found intact inside his backpack. This detail suggests that robbery may not have been the motive behind his death.

The identity of the deceased was confirmed by his father, Rodrigo Granada, bringing a somber end to the family's desperate appeals for information regarding his whereabouts.

Anthony Granada was last seen captured on CCTV footage at Ridgewood Premier in Taguig City around 6:00 in the evening on June 8, 2025.

Further surveillance footage from Barangay Sapa, Naic, Cavite, later showed him walking in the area at about 9:40 in the evening on the very same day he was last seen in Taguig.

The discovery prompted an immediate and thorough investigation by the Forensic Unit of Cavite Province, working in conjunction with an investigator from the Naic Municipal Police Station.

The primary objective of their ongoing inquiry is to ascertain the precise cause of the student's death.

While initial reports from authorities have not indicated signs of overt foul play, the presence of the decomposition and the chemical product near the body necessitate a detailed forensic examination.

The case of Anthony Granada had drawn public attention and concern since his disappearance, with his family tirelessly seeking assistance from the community and authorities.

His untimely passing has left many questioning the circumstances that led to a promising young law student ending up in such a remote and desolate location.

The authorities continue to urge anyone with relevant information that could aid in the investigation to come forward, as they strive to piece together the events that culminated in this tragic outcome and provide answers to his grieving family.
