According to PLtCol. Mark Henry Garcia, officer-in-charge of the Antipolo police, they received several reports and social media tags regarding a young male performing a lewd act in front of souvenir shops along Sumulong Highway, 24 Oras of GMA.

“May nakapag-upload sa social media ng video footage ng isang bata na nakasay sa tricycle at nakasabit siya sa bandang kanan at nakababa yung shorts. And while nakasabit siya doon sa tricycle, ay nagkekembot at nagsasayaw. So it’s a scandalous act po,” Garcia stated.

The police coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to identify the tricycle owner after spotting the plate number in the video.

“Na-determine naman po natin na authentic yung video… upon determining kung sino ang may-ari ng tricycle, that’s the time na pinuntahan na po ng ating mga imbestigador ang bahay ng may-ari… at the same time yung mismong tao, yung e&hibitionist,” he added.

The tricycle driver refused to speak with the media but told the police he was merely giving the teenager and his friends a ride home out of goodwill.

The boy, identified as 16 years old, was also found the same day.

“Based sa investigation… yung bata na ito ay malakas mantrip so nung tinanong namin ay trip trip lang daw yung ginawa niya. So hindi naman siya under the influence of liquor, and under the influence of dr&gs,” Garcia clarified.

The minor is now under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Meanwhile, the tricycle driver is under investigation and may face a grave scandal complaint.
