A tragic accident occurred in Brgy. 166, Caloocan City past 1 p.m., when a motorcycle rider lost his life after being hit and run over by a cement mixer truck.

According to an exclusive report by News5, the victim was trying to avoid muddy patches on the road when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell.

Unfortunately, he landed directly in the path of an oncoming cement mixer truck, which was unable to stop in time.

The rider was immediately rushed to the hospital but was later declared dead.

The stretch of road where the accident took place has long been a concern among residents.

Locals have reportedly filed complaints in the past due to the poor road conditions, which have caused numerous accidents involving motorcycle riders.

Despite these warnings, the road remained in disrepair, contributing to yet another fatality.

The driver of the cement mixer truck voluntarily surrendered to authorities after the incident.

He is expected to face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in h&micide.

This fatal accident has reignited calls for immediate government action to repair and maintain hazardous roads, especially in urban areas where motorcycles are a primary mode of transportation.

Road safety advocates emphasize the need for timely infrastructure repairs, better drainage, and clearer signage to prevent similar tragedies.
