A tragic incident unfolded in South Cotabato after a farmer was fatally stabbed by his own son, leaving the local community in shock.

The victim sustained four stab wounds on different parts of his body, which ultimately led to his death.

According to reports from OnePH, the incident occurred in the morning and was witnessed by several locals.

The suspect, believed to be under the influence of illegal dr&gs, was allegedly behaving violently and was initially seen wielding an ice pick.

Witnesses stated that the ice pick was taken away from him in an attempt to deescalate the situation. However, the suspect then went to his grandmother’s house, where he managed to get hold of a knife.

Armed once again, he allegedly used the weapon to stab his own father.

PCpt. Eldrin Salarda, who is handling the case, shared that the suspect denied the allegations and claimed the blood on his clothes came from his live-in partner.

Despite his denial, multiple witnesses asserted that he was the one who attacked his father.

Authorities have since filed a parricide case against the suspect, who is now in custody.

This incident has drawn public attention to the growing concerns about drug use in rural communities and its devastating impact on families.

Local officials continue to urge residents to report signs of drug abuse and violent behavior before situations escalate into tragedy.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
