A 3-year-old girl who suddenly crossed the road was hit by an oncoming "Toktok" tricycle.

The incident occurred along Felix Huertas Street in Santa Cruz on Thursday afternoon.

Security footage showed four children, including the victim, walking along the street when one of them crossed to the other side.

Just moments later, the 3-year-old girl followed the first child, but she was struck by an approaching tricycle.

The little girl was not only hit, but the tricycle also flipped over her and dragged her.

In a report by ABS-CBN's 'TV Patrol' and according to the authorities, the Toktok driver immediately pressed on the brakes, resulting in it flipping on its side.

Two female passengers of the tricycle immediately got off the vehicle, and they sustained some scratches.

To the victim's aid, the residents of Barangay 336 and 341 joined forces to carry the tricycle and retrieve the girl underneath it.

The 3-year-old girl is still in the hospital because of her head injuries.

Additionally, the victims didn't file charges against the tricycle driver and got into a temporary agreement.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
