A video of a lady rider in Cebu performing dangerous stunts on a busy national highway has gone viral, drawing concern and criticism from the public and authorities alike.

The incident took place in Mandaue, where the woman was seen letting go of the handlebars, sitting sideways, and even dancing on her moving motorcycle—an act that shocked many netizens.

According to a report by Brigada News PH, the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Region 7 has already launched an investigation into the incident.

Police Lt. Col. Wilbert Parilla, director of HPG Region 7, confirmed that the rider clearly violated traffic rules and emphasized the seriousness of such reckless behavior on public roads.

Parilla said that once their investigation is complete, the results will be forwarded to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), which will determine the appropriate penalties for the violation.

The video has sparked a wider conversation on road safety and the risks posed by such stunts—not only to the rider but to other motorists as well.

Authorities continue to urge the public to practice responsible driving and avoid actions that endanger lives.

While the stunt may have been performed for online attention or entertainment, officials stress that public roads are not places for exhibitions or thrill-seeking.

The rider’s identity has yet to be publicly confirmed, but with the video circulating widely, enforcement bodies are determined to take appropriate action.

Still in other news, a 23-year-old man suffered from physical injuries after he was allegedly assaulted by a group of young men. According to the report of GMA Regional TV, the victim, Mat Ernest Bongo brought his female co-worker home and it was thereafter that the alleged assault took place. He sustained injuries in different parts of his body. Based on the report, the victim was also allegedly robbed by the same group.
