A 73-year-old woman who owned a store in Baliuag, Bulacan, was shot and killed inside her own room.

Captured on CCTV, the victim, identified as Yolly Caballero, was seen entering her room inside a gated compound.

Not long after, a man wearing a cap and with his face fully covered was caught on video entering the same compound.

Caballero's store helper approached the man, who appeared to be checking who was inside the store at the time.

Then, just moments later, he brought out a gun and shot Caballero. However, his gun malfunctioned.

He gave it another try, but his gun still didn't fire successfully.

Caballero, sensing danger, went further inside to hide from the gunman. However, the armed man shot her at close range.

After hitting Caballero, the gunman fled the crime scene on a motorcycle. The victim died after sustaining a gunshot wound to her side.

In an interview by TV5's 'Frontline Tonight' with Mica Caballero, the victim's daughter, they had been receiving threats lately, which most likely stemmed from a certain legal case that they won.

According to Baliuag Police, they already have a person of interest, but they refused to give out any statement about the incident yet, while investigations are still ongoing.

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
