The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the authorities.

In the Philippines, accountability in a fire incident that results in casualties depends on the findings of the investigation conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and other relevant authorities.

If the fire is found to be caused by negligence, such as faulty electrical wiring, illegal connections, or failure to follow fire safety regulations, the property owner, occupant, or building administrator may be held responsible.

In cases involving commercial establishments, the business owner or the person in charge of maintaining safety standards may face legal consequences. If the cause of the fire is due to a defective product or appliance, manufacturers or suppliers could also be investigated.
