In the Philippines, AUV stands for Asian Utility Vehicle. It is a type of vehicle designed for utility and passenger use, commonly seen on the roads for both private and commercial purposes. AUVs are typically larger than regular sedans but smaller than full-sized SUVs, and they are often used as family cars, company service vehicles, or public transport like UV Express vans. These vehicles are popular for their practicality, affordability, and ability to handle a mix of passengers and cargo. Examples of AUVs include models like the Toyota Innova, Mitsubishi Adventure, and Isuzu Crosswind.
