According to reports, the salary of the suspect was put on hold, and he was relieved from his position.
Witnesses said the suspect was originally looking for the barangay treasurer. When he couldn't find his original target, he went home and shot himself, causing his death.
Right now, authorities are still investigating who owns the gun used by the suspect. According to the authorities, as shared by the witnesses, the suspect made 6 gunshots during the incident.
Recovered from the suspect's house were 2 magazines of caliber-45, but the gun itself was missing.

Police said back in February, the suspect still managed to receive his salary despite having diabetes. However, his salary for the month of May was no longer given to him as the treasurer said it was already on hold.
He was also relieved from his position as a barangay tanod because he was reportedly ineffective given his health condition.
Meanwhile, the SK Secretary was also shot and underwent surgery and is still trying to recover in the hospital.
