A tricycle driver died after his vehicle was hit by a bus in Siaton, Negros Oriental on Monday.

According to a report by Tina Panganiban-Perez on "24 Oras" Tuesday, CCTV footage showed the tricycle exiting from a side road onto the national highway in Barangay Bonawon.

Within seconds, a fast-approaching bus collided with the tricycle, which was carrying three passengers. The impact caused the tricycle to overturn.

All four individuals, including the 70-year-old tricycle driver and his passengers, were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Unfortunately, the driver later died due to severe head injuries sustained in the crash.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public, but the incident has sparked concerns about road safety in the area.

Authorities confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances and liability.

The bus driver involved in the accident has already been taken into police custody and is currently detained while legal proceedings are being prepared.
