According to Samboan Police, the tension between the siblings worsened, which led to the older brother attacking his younger sibling
The victim had a wound on his cheek, and his live-in partner, who tried to stop the fight, was also wounded on her head.

Both victims are now recovering in the hospital, while the suspect turned himself in to the authorities.
The suspect didn't issue any statment about the incident. Meanwhile, the Samboan Police no longer specified the social media post that lead to the tragic incident.
In the Philippines, if a man hacks his own younger brother and causes injury, he can be charged with the crime of frustrated homic!de or attempted hom!cide, depending on the seriousness of the attack and the intent to kill.
If the intent to kill is proven and the victim survives, it may be classified as frustrated hom!cide.
The case becomes more severe if a deadly weapon like a bolo or knife was used. Even if they are family, the offender will still face criminal charges and may be arrested, detained, and brought to trial.
In addition to criminal liability, the offender may also be required to pay damages to the victim for medical expenses, lost income, and emotional suffering.
