A 23-year-old man, believed to be under the influence of illegal dr&gs, was rescued from the roof of his neighbor’s house after going on a rampage early in the morning of May 16, 2025.

The man, identified only by the alias “Jaymar,” was spotted on top of a nearby residence, armed with a knife and acting aggressively.
Concerned residents immediately called authorities, fearing for the safety of the community.
According to initial reports, Jaymar was shouting incoherently and appeared to be in a highly agitated state.

Responding officers and rescuers worked to calm him down and safely bring him down from the roof.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
Jaymar, who was previously employed at a department store, has reportedly exhibited similar behavior in the past.
This was not the first time he ran amok, according to neighbors, raising concerns about his mental health and possible substance abuse.
Authorities suspect that Jaymar was high on illegal substances during the incident.
He is now under the custody of local officials and will undergo further evaluation, including dr&g testing and psychological assessment.
Local leaders have called for better access to mental health support and substance abuse programs, especially for young adults at risk.
Further investigation is ongoing, and Jaymar’s family has been notified.

Still in other news, a 65-year-old man, Nestor Rensales, died after voting in Oas, Albay during the midterm elections. Rensales, a stroke survivor, felt dizzy and collapsed shortly after casting his vote at Oas South Central Elementary School, ABS-CBN reported. His wife shared that he insisted on voting despite the heat and early crowd, believing his vote still mattered. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
