An 18-year-old male tragically lost his life after being stabbed during a violent brawl involving two groups of youths in Bacolod City.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV’s Balitanghali on Thursday, the incident occurred Tuesday evening when tensions escalated between the groups.

Authorities said that several of those involved in the altercation were reportedly under the influence of alcohol, which may have contributed to the outbreak of violence.

In the middle of the commotion, the victim was fatally stabbed.

The victim’s family shared that he had only been invited by his friends to hang out that evening.

They never imagined that a simple night out would end in such a devastating tragedy.

His grieving parents are now calling for justice as they struggle to cope with the sudden loss of their son.

One of the suspects, a college student, was already surrendered by his father to authorities. His father was devastated.

The two other suspects are still being hunted down by authorities.

Still in other news, a 65-year-old man, Nestor Rensales, died after voting in Oas, Albay during the midterm elections. Rensales, a stroke survivor, felt dizzy and collapsed shortly after casting his vote at Oas South Central Elementary School, ABS-CBN reported. His wife shared that he insisted on voting despite the heat and early crowd, believing his vote still mattered. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
