Two young boys died and a girl was injured after a wall from an abandoned house collapsed on them in Davao City on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report by Jandi Esteban for GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, the incident occurred in Barangay Sasa.

The victims, aged 7 and 10, were playing near the abandoned structure along with an 11-year-old girl when a strong gust of wind toppled a nearby tree.

The falling tree hit the wall, causing it to collapse on the children.

The 7-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital but later died around midnight due to severe head injuries.

The 10-year-old was declared dead at the scene, while the 11-year-old girl remains in the hospital recovering from her injuries.

Mary Chris Romagos, the mother of the younger victim, tearfully described her son as affectionate and loving.

Police are currently investigating the incident. Davao City Police Office spokesperson Police Captain Hazel Caballero Tuazon stated that authorities are still determining who should be held accountable for the tragedy.

They will be coordinating with the local government to assess the legal responsibilities related to the abandoned property.

This tragic event has raised concerns about the safety of abandoned structures in residential areas and the need for preventive measures to avoid similar accidents in the future.

Rensales, a stroke survivor, felt dizzy and collapsed shortly after casting his vote at Oas South Central Elementary School, ABS-CBN reported. His wife shared that he insisted on voting despite the heat and early crowd, believing his vote still mattered. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
