Following the 2025 midterm elections, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. issued a call for unity and collaboration among all newly elected officials, regardless of political affiliation.

In a statement reported by Philstar, the President extended his hand to all winners, urging them to set aside political differences and focus on shared goals for the nation.

"To the newly elected, regardless of party or coalition, I extend my hand. Let us move forward together — with open minds and a common purpose," the President said.

He concluded with a message emphasizing inclusive governance: “Sa gobyernong tapat, kasama ng lahat.”

Marcos' statement comes at a critical time as the country transitions into the next legislative period.

The President’s emphasis on unity and collective responsibility highlights the importance of cooperation between different branches and levels of government in pushing forward the country’s development agenda.

Observers noted that the President’s gesture may set the tone for a more conciliatory and productive relationship between the executive and legislative branches, especially given the mixed political affiliations among the new batch of senators and local leaders.

Recently, Senator Bam Aquino expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support he received from young voters following his win as one of the 12 senators in the 2025 elections.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Aquino recounted how parents approached him during the campaign, proudly sharing that their children had been actively campaigning for him.

In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter's remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
