Authorities put the driver in their custody. As of now, the suspect hasn't made any statement yet about the incident.
In the Philippines, if a driver is proven to be drunk and causes an accident that results in death and injuries, several serious charges may apply.
The case would fall under Republic Act No. 10586, also known as the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013. The driver can be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicid3 if a person dies, and reckless imprudence resulting in multiple physical injuries for those who were hurt.
These are punishable under the Revised Penal Code. If the driver's blood alcohol content (BAC) is above the legal limit, this also becomes a direct violation of RA 10586.
For non-professional drivers, the BAC limit is 0.05 percent, while for professional drivers, there is zero tolerance. If proven guilty, the penalties are severe. Causing death while driving under the influence can lead to imprisonment of up to 20 years, a fine ranging from P300,000 to P500,000, and automatic revocation of the driver’s license.
If injuries are involved, the jail term can range from three months to 12 years, depending on the severity, with a fine of P100,000 to P200,000 for each injured person.

Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspect even grabbed a bag and mobile phone from the suspects. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.
In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
